The standard games of Blackjack, Poker, Roulette and Bacarrat are available at the Algarve casinos but you will also see Portuguese Dice or 'Banca Francesa'.
The rules are pretty simple - you bet on one of three outcomes from the throwing of three standard dice.
1st - "Great Chance/Chance Grande" when the sum of the 3 dice is 14, 15 or 16
2nd "Small Chance/Chance Pequena" when the sum of the 3 dice is 5, 6 or 7
3rd - "Aces" when the sum of the three dice is equal to 3
All the other sums of the dices are considered null and the "Croupier" shall always have to repeat the throwing of the dice. The payment of the "Chance Grande" and the "Chance Pequena", shall always be equal to the bet placed. In the "Aces" the player who has betted on this wins 61 times the value of his/her bet. While the dice are being thrown and before the decision, the player may always alter the value of the bets, change Chance or even withdraw his/her Wager.
