Easter Festival - Easter Sunday 2009, São Bras de Alportel. Easter is celebrated with an unusual ceremony. The men of this inland town hold decorated torches while running through the streets shouting "Hallelujah". When they reach the parish church, the flowers are carefully laid out on the floor so the priest may walk over them.
Seafood Festival - August 2009, Olhao. :Jardim do Pescador Olhanese. Festival do Marisco (seafood festival) Concerts, folk dancing and singing keep you entertained as you eat.
